32 Weeks | Baby Bump

A hot sweaty mess from being at the zoo for 3 hours when it's like 90+ degrees outside... so forgive my sweaty face... and boy does my belly look strange when I'm carrying Coen!

How far along: 32 weeks. (From the Bump) At 32 weeks, baby’s birth still seems kind of far away, but you and baby are physically ready in a lot of ways, just in case there’s an early arrival. Baby may have turned so she’s in the head-down position by now, poised for her trip down the birth canal. And you may have noticed your nipples looking darker. That’s so a preemie can see them for breastfeeding -- isn't your body so amazing? Intensity might be building in the symptoms department, as heartburn and contractions intensify around week 32. But we’re guessing you’re so excited about baby’s impending arrival, they’re not slowing you down much.

How big is baby: The size of a squash.

Weight gain/loss: I'm up 20 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Um, yes.  When I have to, but more times than not, it's usually maternity.

Stretch marks: Yes.  I think they are seriously stretching more, but I'm not going to worry about them.  They are what they are and nothing I can do will make them disappear forever...  I'm just moisturizing them and reminding myself that they are just memories... memories in lines... on my skin.

Sleep: It's going well.  The evenings seem to really have a nice rhythm and I am appreciating it more and more.

Diet/Cravings/Aversions: Nothing new here.  Just noticing that I can't eat as much as I used to and that if I get too full at lunch, I almost can't eat dinner.

Exercise: If toting a toddler around counts, then yes.

Gender: Still a little baby girl.

Movement: I was telling my OB that I feel like this baby is moving so much more than I remember Coen moving.  I'm not sure if that's true or not, but she just puts out these jabs and things that really shock the crap out of me because they are just so strong.  It's fun to feel her move, because she is super active...

The belly: Growing... no doubt about that.

What I'm loving: Just being pregnant.  I do love it.

What I miss: Not being pregnant.  I know.  Seems bizarre to say (since I just said that I do love being pregnant), but I seriously cannot wait to not be pregnant for a while.  It's just hard to be pregnant and have a little one that wants you on the floor with them.  I do it, but it's not easy.

Symptoms: My hip was a mess last week.  We were in Pittsburgh for a wedding that S. was in and it was just taking a toll on my body.  I manned up and tried to get through it all, but I had a couple moments where I broke down... I was a hormonal mess and my hip was just killing me.

The nursery: It's at a stand-still and it probably will be until August, now.  I might be able to work on it in two weeks, but I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do without much help.  Not being able to lift certain things are holding me up and it stinks.  We'll get it together soon... just going to take a bit more time.

What's different/thesame this time: I really don't feel pregnant.  I'm not in too much pain, I don't have any food issues, I never got sick... however this time, verses last time... I haven't gotten swollen until recently.  My feet are starting to show this more and more, but not nearly as bad as last time!  I'm hoping it stays this way... and I'm also in shock that it is this way since it's been 90s+ to 100+ lately.

What I'm lookingforward to: Holding my two babies and not being pregnant for a while.

Best moment of theweek: Having Coen say "Mama" loud and clear! And watching him learn to drink from a straw!

Last appointmentdetails: The biggest point from my last appointment is that we have a date on the calendar for when our baby girl is due to arrive!  Monday, August 27th, 2012 is her delivery date!  Now, she could arrive before then, on her own, but we will have to wait that one out to see what's going to happen!

Next appointment: I'm on the 2 week schedule now, so my next appointment is going to be Thursday, July 19th.  I cannot believe how fast these last 10 weeks are going!  Crazy!

Drinking from a straw?!?! Look at him go!!

I can't believe you are 32 weeks....your little one will be here so soon!

You look great :)

that nightmare

Time is passing and permanent/next step decisions AREN'T being made about where our marriage is going.

Not because of anything other than HOPE....

Hope that these changes are real.  I can't deal with an act anymore.  I'm done with those fake attempts.  It just won't work for me.  I can't.

Hope that he really wants to change.  Because he's the only one that can make that decision for himself and not anyone else.

Hope that a new normal is really a possible option.  And not just a glimmer of something that will eventually be shattered and destroyed.

Hope that we could work through all of this and actually land on our feet.  But he has to want to do those things and my guidance won't help him.  He's got to want to do them on his own.  I can't help or ask or guide.  He has to do it.  Alone and with the help of God.

Hope that the narcissistic behaviors are being dealt with in positive ways and won't resurface.  With the help of prayer, guidance from h…

my little model...

There is a blog that I follow of a photographer that I saw at the Delaware County Fair. Her studio is near my home town and her pictures are very vibrant. I enjoy looking at different aspects of photography and I like seeing how didn’t people capture pictures and scenes… I guess you could say I’m envious.

While following her blog, I saw a post that stated Calling All Furry Friends and immediately responded. I have always wanted to have Toby get professional pictures done but I just fear that I wouldn’t pick the right person to capture his personality.

Anyway, as you can read in the link above, there were a handful of photographers at Megan Morgan’s studio and they were all going to be there just to take furry friends pictures.

Of the people that were there two have uploaded their pictures and Toby is in them!

First, Megan Morgan’s blog: Weekend Workshop

Then, Holly McCaig’s blog: Dogs Everywhere

They all captured some great pictures and I can’t wait to get my hands on them so that I …

clomid vs. follistim

(IUI #4)

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "letters, 1", stating:

"what are the statistics on follistim v. clomid or other oral egg-enhancing drugs?"

Before I responded, I went on just to make sure I knew what I was talking about.  {Nothing like going through a medical procedure, thinking you know everything and then letting an Anonymous comment send me off my track. ha!}

Disclaimer: I'm not a dr. nor do I want to be a dr.  This is what I understand to be the difference.  This isn't fact, other than the links I'm posting, it's just my understanding.  Please DO NOT take my words for fact.

This is what I knew before I did the research:

Both Clomid and Follistim are ovary stimulating drugs that tell your ovaries to produce eggs.  They are both in the same in that aspect of things.  The physical difference is that Clomid is in pill form and taken orally.  Follistim is powder to liquid that is administrated by a pen/shot.
