We're Moving!

Okay, not immediately...

....but soon.

Our house is the house that I loved during our first house search and not the one my husband loved and because of that, there has been a burning itch to move (for him) since the moment we moved in... 7.5 years ago.  We've done a lot of work to our house, making it our own and I just love it here.  However, I know that it's not our forever home but rather, our first home.

So, our goal?  To try and sell our house in about 2 years and then move.

Move where?

Well, at first, we hope to either move into an apartment or with my parents (they've heard of this idea but only recently) and save some money for a while.  We also want to search for our perfect home during that time and not just jump right into another one.
Why?

Well, like I said, my husband has never loved our house and we struggled for a long time to love our location.  That being said, in the search for our forever home, we HAVEN'T said that we wouldn't buy another house in the town that we are in.  In fact, a lot of our home searches in the last few months have been to move into town, (downtown) of our town and live in a old house with land and character.

We're not limiting ourselves to staying in this town but we also not eliminating it from our search at all.  We love our town.  We love the friends we have here and we love the feel of the small town with little to no congestion in traffic.  We also enjoy watching this town grow and change with every day...

What's wrong with the house we live in now?

Nothing, really.  Just that we'd like to upgrade some things, have more space for new things, have a bigger yard, change the floor plan, finished basement, larger foyer (or a foyer. period.), more closets, hardwood (or fake wood) floors, wider hallways, a laundry room, a mudroom, large porch, maybe with a porch swing, a grand front door (and we want to keep the side lights), a stairway that doesn't lead right into the front door, a side load garage, more character throughout the home, more landscaping in the yard, mature trees, and some more space for our family to grow.  You know.  Just a few things that we'd like to change from this house to our next house.

So, in effort to keep things in order, I've turned to Pinterest to help me keep track of things that I like or have found online so that I can reference it during our search.

You can check them out here: In My Next Home (things I would love in our next home), home sweet home (things that are helpful at home or things that I love in a home - our dream home), and basement dreaming (things that I would love in our finished (dream) basement).

It's not going to be an easy task, but we're excited to get started!

Stay tuned...

Ooooo how exciting! I was wondering why you were pinning front porches and the such on Pinterest!

Two words for an apartment?! TOP FLOOR. Please for the love of everything holy do NOT move into an apartment unless it's on the TOP FLOOR. I wish someone would have given me that advice!

You know, you should move down south a little - there's some good buys in my new neighborhood! :)

Very exciting! We'll be in the market very soon, too--ready to get into our forever home. Best of luck to you in your search for THE home!

Well, maybe this isn't NEWS, but it's exciting that you're getting serious about it! BTW, if I could marry a website, I'd totally marry Pinterest. :*
I have seen your in my next home pintrest and it's great. :) We are in the middle of that process ourselves. We are renting a wuper affordable mobile home while saving up and hunting for the perfect house. We want our next home to be our forever home now that we have found our "home town". Our first house was near my family but we didn't ever feel it was to be our home, we do here. We found one recently that is 100 yrs old with lots of character, rooms, and yard, and that we both love but it's for sale by owner and caught up in family drama so we are praying God will make a way for us to get it. Anyway, sorry to hijack your post, it's just nice to share with someone going through something similar. :)
How exciting! Can't wait to hear more about this!

Yeah, we are in our first home and will be in it for a few more years, but it is definitely not our forever home. I think it will be bitter sweet when we do leave this home since we bought it just a few months after we got married and it will be Henry's first home. But a 2 bedroom condo is just not big enough to raise a family!

P.S. I LOVE looking at homes. I go on websites and just look at homes and dream about the day when we are looking for real :)

that nightmare

Time is passing and permanent/next step decisions AREN'T being made about where our marriage is going.

Not because of anything other than HOPE....

Hope that these changes are real.  I can't deal with an act anymore.  I'm done with those fake attempts.  It just won't work for me.  I can't.

Hope that he really wants to change.  Because he's the only one that can make that decision for himself and not anyone else.

Hope that a new normal is really a possible option.  And not just a glimmer of something that will eventually be shattered and destroyed.

Hope that we could work through all of this and actually land on our feet.  But he has to want to do those things and my guidance won't help him.  He's got to want to do them on his own.  I can't help or ask or guide.  He has to do it.  Alone and with the help of God.

Hope that the narcissistic behaviors are being dealt with in positive ways and won't resurface.  With the help of prayer, guidance from h…

my little model...

There is a blog that I follow of a photographer that I saw at the Delaware County Fair. Her studio is near my home town and her pictures are very vibrant. I enjoy looking at different aspects of photography and I like seeing how didn’t people capture pictures and scenes… I guess you could say I’m envious.

While following her blog, I saw a post that stated Calling All Furry Friends and immediately responded. I have always wanted to have Toby get professional pictures done but I just fear that I wouldn’t pick the right person to capture his personality.

Anyway, as you can read in the link above, there were a handful of photographers at Megan Morgan’s studio and they were all going to be there just to take furry friends pictures.

Of the people that were there two have uploaded their pictures and Toby is in them!

First, Megan Morgan’s blog: Weekend Workshop

Then, Holly McCaig’s blog: Dogs Everywhere

They all captured some great pictures and I can’t wait to get my hands on them so that I …

clomid vs. follistim

(IUI #4)

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "letters, 1", stating:

"what are the statistics on follistim v. clomid or other oral egg-enhancing drugs?"

Before I responded, I went on webmd.com just to make sure I knew what I was talking about.  {Nothing like going through a medical procedure, thinking you know everything and then letting an Anonymous comment send me off my track. ha!}

Disclaimer: I'm not a dr. nor do I want to be a dr.  This is what I understand to be the difference.  This isn't fact, other than the links I'm posting, it's just my understanding.  Please DO NOT take my words for fact.

This is what I knew before I did the research:

Both Clomid and Follistim are ovary stimulating drugs that tell your ovaries to produce eggs.  They are both in the same in that aspect of things.  The physical difference is that Clomid is in pill form and taken orally.  Follistim is powder to liquid that is administrated by a pen/shot.
