come out, come out, wherever you are

If you fall under this description, please let me know who you are!

I'm not asking for much, just trying to get to know my readers a little better with no strings attached. I've been blogging for almost 1 1/2 years and I've received numerous comments from lurkers that eventually turn in friends, it's only going to be a positive experience. I would love to continue to meet you and know more about you... or at the least, know that you are there!

So, for today, please leave me a comment letting me know a few things:

1. Do you blog? If so, for how long? And if you have a link you'd like to post, please do.

2. What's your favorite room in your house?

3. If your job & money weren't an issue and you could move anywhere, where would you live?

4. If you can remember, where did you learn about my blog and what keeps you coming back?

Please remember that if you'd like to remain a lurker and just say hi, I do allow anonymous comments with the hopes that you'll be kind enough to leave your name, in the least.

As always, thank you for stopping by and reading about our journey (and leaving a comment).

Hi, I'm Nanny and I'm a loooongtime lurker :) I think I may have commented once or twice before, but it's been a while!

1) I do blog! I've blogged for (oh my goodness) just a few days shy of two years now--I can't believe it! Honestly, a) it feels like I just started and b) I never thought I'd make it this long :)

theonlinenannydiaries.blogspot.com

2) My favorite room in my house is my bedroom. It's a happy, sunny yellow, and filled with all the things I love.

3) This is a tough one. I think I'd have to use some of that unlimited money to travel first, before I could make a decision!

4) I honestly can't remember!

It's nice to "meet" you :)

My den. It's painted in orange. Now if only I had a tv and a couch in there!

3. If your job & money weren't an issue and you could move anywhere, where would you live?

I'm not a lurker. I have too many comments to make and therefore, I comment as often on blogs as I have a comment to make (I do keep quiet now and again). However, since you don't "know" me, I'll play....

1. Yes, maybe 1 1/2 years now? Better go look....
2. I guess my sunroom b/c that's where you can always find me.
3. California or Colorado. (for nicer weather)
4. I think you commented on my blog and that's how I found you. But I could be wrong. One of these blogging "friends" might have led me to yours. I keep coming back b/c I like your posts. And I keep hoping to one day (and know I will) read an "I'm expecting" post.

Hello!

1. I have blogged for a little over a year, however I just switched from Blogger to Wordpress w/ a new blog - thehopelesshousewife.wordpress.com.I was starting to feel that I had a little too much personal information on the original blog so I made a change.

2. My favorite room in my house is my bedroom. I feel so relaxed (I just wish I had a newer mattress!)

3. I'm pretty happy living in the midwest but I do daydream about moving down south every now and then. My husband's family in Georgia and Alabama and I love to visit them.

4. I can't remember how I found your blog, but I do know that I clicked on someone elses' blogroll. I keep coming back because I enjoy following your TTC story/struggles. Your posts are real and show true emotion.

Hi Jill, it's aleeandbry from the Nest. I lurk, therefore I am.
1. I don't have a blog, much to the chagrin of all my family.
2. My fav. room is my family room b/c I get to watch tv and it's close to the kitchen
3. I think I would live in Nashville to be near my parents
4. From the nest. And I keep coming back b/c when I finally read that BFP post I'm going to be jumping up and down and dancing around my house and it will give me much joy. :o)

1. Do you blog? If so, for how long? And if you have a link you'd like to post, please do.

Yes, links in my profile!

2. What's your favorite room in your house?

The front porch in the summer/fall

3. If your job & money weren't an issue and you could move anywhere, where would you live?

Right here, but in a bigger house - I love being close to family and friends.

4. If you can remember, where did you learn about my blog and what keeps you coming back?

You commented on my blog so I came to check it out!
I do not blog in real life - but I swear, if I could get the thoughts out of my head and into blog form as well as you all do - I WOULD!

My favorite room is not a "room" but rather my front porch. I love my street in Grandview and it's the most relaxing place I can be.

I guess I would live somewhere a little further south. Where the waether is more moderate, but you still have traditional seasons.

I am a long time lurker also, I think I found you on the nest shortly after I got married, and I liked your style of blogging!

1. Yes, I've been blogging about infertility for about 10 months. makingmemom.blogspot.com

2. my favorite room is my kitchen/ dining area that open to each other. It's just so easy to congregate around yummy food and talk to friends and family while I cook.

3. I pretty much live in paradise. :)

4. I think I found you through a comment on my blog. I love the look of your blog and the variety of things you write about.

1. Do you blog? If so, for how long? And if you have a link you'd like to post, please do.

I blog - for about 3 years on a personal site, and for about a month at http://oneyearlater-me.blogspot.com/

2. What's your favorite room in your house?

No favorites at ALL. We just recently put our house up for sale, so I am hopeful that I will love my NEXT house!

3. If your job & money weren't an issue and you could move anywhere, where would you live?

Baltimore - Federal Hill, somewhere near the Hill with parking. But then I'd have a vacation home in Vermont on a lake, and wherever else DH wanted one.

4. If you can remember, where did you learn about my blog and what keeps you coming back?

I don't remember how I found you, but we are in a similar place with infertility so I come back for hope...
Hi!

1. Yep, I blog! Been blogging since May of 2006. http://www.twopretzels.com

2. Our courtyard. (Actually outside.)

3. Hmmm... I think I'm happy where I am. (Los Cabos, MX.)

4. I believe I learned about your blog through t.w.i.t.'s blog. (She and my husband were high school friends.) I keep coming back because I want to do whatever I can to support you in your struggle. I cannot wait until I read the one post you're waiting to write...

(Thank you for your blog - I really enjoy it.)

Somewhere tropical

4. If you can remember, where did you learn about my blog and what keeps you coming back?

I found a link to your blog on twopretzels.com a long time ago, and I have been checking in weekly looking for "that" post. . . I know if it coming soon! {hugs}
Hello!

1. Yes, I have had a blog for a little over 3 years (wrestlingkitties.blogspot)

2. I would have to say our Kitchen. Though the kitchen is a bit crowded and outdated, I LOVE cooking and entertaining and the kitchen is the heart of that!

3. Though I have never been, I have always wanted to move to England/Ireland.

4. Either through T.W.I.T's blog or two pretzels. Your honesty, optimism and positive attitude with something that is very personal and the fact that you have opened the door for discussion...alot of people go through this but don't talk about it.

hi there!

1. Yes, I blog (I actually have 3 blogs...). My 'main' blog is http://tracifishbowl.blogspot.com)

2. Favorite room - my red family room. It's the room that made me fall in love w/ my house.

3. Currently, I'd like to move to Florida (minor Disney World obsession)...but I would also like to live in Paris.

4. I found your blog through Two Pretzels ... and I'm a regular reader...keeping my fingers and toes crossed for the day I see that "I'm expecting" post. Because I just KNOW it will happen. :)

1) Yes I do blog! I've been blogging for all my college years on a different site (4 1/2 years) and then I started through blogspot 1 year ago.

2)My favorite room in my house is the living room. I spend 99% of my time in the living room.. doing just what it's meant to do "live" (and be on the computer all the time).

3)Scarbrough, Maine. My family and I vacation there ever since I was a little baby and I absolutely LOVE it there. One day I do believe I will live there, I've always dreamed of living by the beach and being able to take a walk on the beach after work each day!

4)I learned about your blog through one of my college friends blogging about your site. I check back often and have been praying for you in your quest.. I can't wait for you to finally tell us you are expecting.. Do not lose hope!

Thanks for all you post and i appreciate it! :)

I'm not really a lurker since I've responded to your posts before and you're friends with basically all of my friends, but I'll bite anyway! :)

1) Yep, I started blogging around April of this year. I blogged sporadically, but I only had a few select readers. Now my blog is open to whomever wants to read about my boring (and crazy) life. :) http://oneporkchop.blogspot.com

2) My favorite room is my bedroom. The color palatte is brown/blue. I was able to find wonderful patterns and pieces that were inexpensive but look luxurious.

3) Well, my main reason for living where I live is because it's in close proximity to my parents and my in-laws. If they were all moving with us, I'd choose Tennessee - probably Chattanooga.

4) I believe you left a comment on my blog, and then I tracked you down from there. I keep coming back hoping to see a BFP!

1. Do you blog? If so, for how long? And if you have a link you'd like to post, please do. Yup--I've been blogging for about a year and a half, I think. And you know my blog :)

2. What's your favorite room in your house? My bedroom because, well, I love to sleep!!!

3. If your job & money weren't an issue and you could move anywhere, where would you live? Where we are now is a good compromise because we're close to halfway between our parents. If I didn't have to take DH into account, I'd want to move to my hometown.

4. If you can remember, where did you learn about my blog and what keeps you coming back? I don't remember--did you post it on the board? But I love keeping up with your blog--you have such a fantastic attitude about everything you've been through and a great personality overall!!

1. I do not blog. I have a friend on facebook who blogs and clicked on her blog...it kind of went from there. I'm more of a facebook kind of girl :)

2. Either our three seasons room (made into a tavern...i.e. bar), or my spare bedroom/office. I spend a lot of time in there.

3. I am in the process of getting ready to apply to Ph.D. programs...ideally located near Myrtle Beach :)

4. I enjoy the way certain people write...you are one of them. I am not married, nor am I trying to have a child, yet I empathize with you. Most likely because of your honesty and sincerity.

My name is Holly :)

2. What's your favorite room in your house?

Living room. Our house is small so the living room is where everything happens.

3. If your job & money weren't an issue and you could move anywhere, where would you live?

I am quite happy where I am, close to family and friends. But, if I could move the people I love and take them with me I'd like to live for awhile in each state to experience it all.

4. If you can remember, where did you learn about my blog and what keeps you coming back?

I believe you may have commented on my blog, but I know I found you through Two Pretzels blog list.

that nightmare

Time is passing and permanent/next step decisions AREN'T being made about where our marriage is going.

Not because of anything other than HOPE....

Hope that these changes are real.  I can't deal with an act anymore.  I'm done with those fake attempts.  It just won't work for me.  I can't.

Hope that he really wants to change.  Because he's the only one that can make that decision for himself and not anyone else.

Hope that a new normal is really a possible option.  And not just a glimmer of something that will eventually be shattered and destroyed.

Hope that we could work through all of this and actually land on our feet.  But he has to want to do those things and my guidance won't help him.  He's got to want to do them on his own.  I can't help or ask or guide.  He has to do it.  Alone and with the help of God.

Hope that the narcissistic behaviors are being dealt with in positive ways and won't resurface.  With the help of prayer, guidance from h…

my little model...

There is a blog that I follow of a photographer that I saw at the Delaware County Fair. Her studio is near my home town and her pictures are very vibrant. I enjoy looking at different aspects of photography and I like seeing how didn’t people capture pictures and scenes… I guess you could say I’m envious.

While following her blog, I saw a post that stated Calling All Furry Friends and immediately responded. I have always wanted to have Toby get professional pictures done but I just fear that I wouldn’t pick the right person to capture his personality.

Anyway, as you can read in the link above, there were a handful of photographers at Megan Morgan’s studio and they were all going to be there just to take furry friends pictures.

Of the people that were there two have uploaded their pictures and Toby is in them!

First, Megan Morgan’s blog: Weekend Workshop

Then, Holly McCaig’s blog: Dogs Everywhere

They all captured some great pictures and I can’t wait to get my hands on them so that I …

Starting here..

I know that I haven't really updated this in a long while. I apologize. In the moments it was hard enough to survive, let alone write about it or find time to write about it.

With that said, I've told people over and over again that I'm going to write again, just not sure where to start.
So, today, I'm starting here.
My mom is terminal.
Words that I cannot believe have to leave my mouth or my fingers.
She's been battling Ovarian Cancer for well over 10 years and this last year or 8 months+ have been just the worst.  Her body is being consumed by cancer and with every day that passes we are just another closer to losing her.
She's fought this whole time and continues to beat the odds that the doctors have placed before her. She's set goals and surpassed them and when the doctors say something, it's like she mentally tells herself that it's just NOT going to happen and she flies by those measurable items.
She's been a rock star and I have known …
