Please go to Jessica & Charley's blog and send them prayers, love and support during this time.

Tuesday, their darling daughter, was welcomed at heavens gates yesterday.

Jessica posted this today and after catching up on reading some of their more recent posts, tears just flowed down my face.

Here's a little link/picture of Tuesday. What a beautiful little girl.

As I said in my twitter a few days ago...

Why buy this?

{Couch with a chaise}

When you can buy this?

Please take a moment to welcome the newest member of our family, Mr. MacBook!! We are both thrilled to have been able to purchase him. He's thrown me a bit of a learning curve but I'm dealing with it daily. It actually a very smart machine and like the guy at the Apple Store said, "You just have to train your brain to forget everything that you do on a PC and then it will be a breeze!" It's really user friendly, the manual has very minimal instructions in it and thankfully the local Apple Store offers free classes that I might take advantage of since there are some things that I just don't understand.

So now, a task for you!

Questions that I would like to hear you answers to! Leave them in the comment if you wouldn't mind!

1. What is your primary operation system, PC or Mac?

2. Have you used a Mac before? If so, what did you love/hate about it?

Food on Friday: BBQ Chicken Pizza

BBQ Chicken Pizza

Vegetable cooking spray

1 (10-ounce) package refrigerated pizza crust

3/4 cup chopping green pepper (about 1 medium)

3/4 cup thinly sliced red onion wedges (about 1 small onion)

1/2 cup honey barbecue sauce (I prefer to mix Open Pit with the Honey BBQ for a tangier taste.)

1 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken breast (I use canned chicken chunks.)

1 cup (4 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

1. Coat a 12 inch pizza pan or large baking sheet with cooking spray. Unroll dough, and press into pan. Back at 425 degrees for 5 minutes or until crust begins to brown.

2. While crust bakes, coat a medium nonstick skillet with cooking spray; place over medium-high heat until hot. Add green pepper and onion (I also add pressed garlic), and cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

3. Spread barbecue sauce evenly over baked crust; top evenly with chicken. Arrange vegetable mixture over chicken; sprinkle with cheese. Bake 8 additional minutes or unt…

1. Ann Taylor Loft Clearance/Sales that include an additional 25% off! I swear I can't stay away from a good sale! 3 sweater/cardigans and a pair of jeans for $31.64! I'm not kidding! If I would've paid full price, I would've spent $246 dollars + tax. Seriously, you can't get a better bargain and as Ken said, "That's like 85% off, INSANE!!!" I {heart} Ann Taylor!

2. Trish, for keeping such a great pant (faux demin) and waiting to return it to Ann Taylor! We met up yesterday and got to talking about clothes and Ann Taylor Loft. She mentioned that she had some things in her car that she bought in November that she needed to return. I asked her what they were and what was wrong with them?!? She had a skirt and a pair of faux jeans. I LOVED the jeans, so I asked her if I could take them home, try them on and if they worked I would just pay her for them. Well I got to thinking and I called to store to confirm my hair brain idea... and ta da,…

Q: So, where are you in the baby making process?

A: We are still trying some natural things on our own in hopes that we just have missed something. We are trying this month on our own with prenatal vitamins as well as "pre-conceive" lubricant. It's supposed to increase mobility as well as viability.

Q: What will be the next step (1) and why has it taken so long to get here (2)?

A1: Our next step is to go to the lab for two blood tests that they want me to do. I have a written request from Dr. Schmidt to go and do these tests at any lab. I just have to do it.

A2: The reason that it's taken so long to get to this point was for a couple different reasons.
We wanted to try a few more "all natural" things on our own.We were not sure how insurance was going to charge us for these trips to ORM. So we were a little hesitant. We just wanted to have a few months to try things out. Test a few theories and work through them. So far (with the exception of this month), the…

1. My Ukrainian cube mate that makes my laugh when she attempts to pronounce English words that are foreign to her. Fun times. (Maybe it's rude to laugh AT her and not try to help her, but if you knew her, you would understand. It's just better to laugh and listen.)

2. The song "Benny & the Jets".

4. My mom, for meeting me for lunch and going shopping. Very fun and an unusual experience, but very enjoyable!

5. My husband, for cooking dinner. Love that man!

one more time...

So I went shopping on my lunch with my mom to a second hand store just down the street from my office. While there we were minding our own business, looking around and there were only a handful of people in there.

All of a sudden we heard this:

Clerk: "Hi Sir, how are you today?"

Starter (for the NFL Starter, hooded, pull over coat that he was wearing): "TODAY IS A GREAT DAY!! (talking so loud he might as well have been yelling or preaching) Haven't you heard, WE'VE GOT A BLACK MAN AS PRESIDENT! TODAY IS GOOD DAY! IT'S A TIME OF CELEBRATION. EVERYONE SHOULD BE CELEBRATIN' TODAY!"

Everyone in the shop turned to look at him and then quickly looked away because he just kept talking/preaching.

As we walked down another aisle, my mom said, "Wow, who turned on his switch?"

Maybe you had to be there but seriously it was hilarious. Between this guy in the Starter jacket and my mom... I was in tears.

Title: Brand New Day

This video link is kind of cheesy but it allows you to hear the song at least...

Some kind of magic
Happens late at night
When the moon smiles down at me
And bathes me in its light

I fell asleep beneath you
In the tall blades of grass
When I woke the world was new
I never had to ask

It's a brand new day
The sun is shining
It's a brand new day
For the first time in such a long long time
I know, I'll be ok

Most kind of stories
Save the best part for last
And most stories have a hero who finds
You make your past your past
Yeah you make your past your past

It's a brand new day
The sun is shining
It's a brand new day
For the first time in such a long long time
I know, I'll be ok

This cycle never ends
You gotta fall in order to mend

It's a brand new day
It's a brand new day
For the first time in such a long long time
I know, I'll be ok

I have posted before about how music plays a major role i…

Welcome back... FOOD on Friday! Southwestern Chicken with Rice

Southwestern Chicken with Rice

{This one is weight watchers friendly too!}

2 cans of Progresso's Southwestern Vegetable Soup

4 to 6 Chicken Breats (6, if they are 4 oz breats - 4 if they are larger)

1 3/4 cup of white rice, uncooked.

2 to 3 cloves of garlic, pressed

Preheat oven to 350. In a 13x9 pan, spray with non cooking spray, place 4 (or 6) chicken breasts in the pan. Mix rice, soup, and garlic together and pour over top of the chicken.

Bake for about 30 minutes. Cut the chicken to see if they are still pink. If pink, cook longer. The soup/rice mixture should be bubbling on the sides.

Makes 4 to 6 servings and is about 7 points per serving (Varies depending on the size of the chicken).

Very good and it smells AMAZING while it's baking!!

help me mom!!!

So according to this weather report, it's roughly -8 degrees out right now but it "feels like" -22 degrees outside. Needless to say, it is SOOOOOOOO FREAKING COLD out! Seriously, the moment you step outside your hands are frozen and your nose is red!

So this morning, about 6:22am, I get up to let my dog out. I get a burst of this FREAKING cold weather as the door opens and I tell Toby to "go potty." He runs out thinking that it's great because he does love the snow. However, not when it's -10 degrees outside and he has to pee.

He gallops around the yard, finds his spot to pee, pees, then gallops a little more thinking about how much he does love the snow. Then he realizes he needs to pee again, gallops around a little more, finds another spot, pees, then starts to run towards the door sort of limping. I look out and I'm like, poor puppy, just hurry up and get in here and I'll wipe your paws. He gets to the deck and he cannot step on his front p…

INMH: Master Bedroom Walk-In Closet

Our home does (luckily) have walk in closets in every room. Something that I would love to continue onto our next home. However, the size of the room is what becomes the problem and it ends with the lack of space to organize.

Here are a few options of things I would like to see in our next Master Bedroom Walk-In Closet. All of these pictures show organization and SPACE, both of which we DO NOT have in our current closet.

{sorry for the creepy guy in the one picture. all images borrowed from google images.}

IMNH: Laundry Room/Mud Room Combo

In 2009, I'm going to bring you a list of things that I would like "In my Next Home" which in this case would probably have to end up being my dream home (yea right, we are not in anyway, shape or form moving... just dreaming). Don't get me wrong, I love my house and for the most part it serves it's purpose. However, there are a few things that I wish were a little different and in order to keep track of all the upgrades, changes and ideas, I thought I would document them.

My first complaint about my current house is the Laundry/Mud Room Combo. Yes, it does have this room labeled on the floor plan BUT it doesn't serve it's true purpose. To me a mud room should be a place where you can kick off your muddy shoes or sit down to pull them off. It would also be a place where you could hang up your mud covered coat to dry and also throw your dirty clothes into the washer. I also invision a mud room to have a utility sink that you could easily wash your mud…
