ooohhhh, the beach...

In about 2 days I will be stepping foot on the beach. I can't wait. It's been about 2 years since I've been to the beach and that if far too long. I'm very much looking forward to it! I'm visiting a very good friend of mine and her family. We haven't seen each other in over a year! Crazy! Time flies when you get older. It just slips through your fingers and before you know it, it's gone.

Time lately seems to be slipping by quickly. I am really trying not to think about TTC, I'm trying to focus on other things. Other things like my dh, my house, my work, my vacation, my animals, my health, babysitting, my day to day tasks, running errands, anything that will keep my mind off of it. So far it's been good! I've been really busy but it's those nights when I'm at home alone that I can't stop thinking about it.

I've taken almost 2 months off from "trying" and it feels great! My dh and I are still "trying" but we are just "trying" more often so it's more like "practicing", ya know? It's been fun, more fun than the previous 18 months! It really became challenging and it really was "work". We are much better though, now.

Work has been crazy lately. Some days I'm shocked at the habits and poor work ethic that people have that I work with. It's really amazing how some people function day to day. It's getting better, because today is my last day at work until next Wednesday! Woooo Whoooo! I'm very much looking forward to this vaca. It couldn't have come at a better time!

My dh is wrapping up his school year! Crazy how it's already summer! Lately we have been doing as much car pooling as possible, to save on gas! Have you see then gas prices lately? They aren't getting any cheaper! What's the price of gas near you? With summer approaching at the end of the week, we aren't going to be doing much of that! =/

The weather around here has just been ridiculous lately. One minute it's beautiful and sunny. The next it's black and we have horrid storms and tornado warnings! Eeek! I can't for the storms & tornado warnings to come to a halt! I've had just about enough of the natural alarm clock at 4:30AM!

On top of all of those things, I'm doing very poorly at this NCLM! I haven't left a comment in 2 days now and I haven't left any return comments either! My goal was to hit every one's blog in one week to be put on the "wall of honor", but obviously I need to kick it into high gear or it's not going to happen!

I'm probably going to be commenting like crazy today to make up for the lost time. From there, I might be a little MIA until Wednesday. If I can pull myself away from the pool or the beach long enough, I might blog... if you are lucky.

Don't even think about pulling out your computer at the beach!! Enjoy! And know that I am envious. Have a great vaca. NCLM will be here when you get back.

Right now, I am in the midst of a marathon commenting session - trying to make up for the last few days and get back to a 5-a-day average. Its so funny - before NCLM, I would almost always leave at least that many each day just through the course of my regular reading - now that it's mandatory (sort of) I am having some sort of mental block. Argh. Maybe I need a trip to the beach....

Enjoy your vacation!!!!

I hear ya on the comment leaving. I am always chasing my tail. I would say I wish I was going to the beach but I don't. Even though the water hasn't cooled right down completely, it is now officially winter in my part of the world and I hate the cold.

Enjoy your summer! And good luck with TTC (and good luck with taking your mind off it too!)

I had a six month break from 'trying' recently and loved it. In fact, I was thinking it was permanent. Now I have to chart again (after ectopic) to get a handle on my cycle and O date, in order to be able to get some further testing done at 7-10DPO (yeah, how would I know when THAT might be, right now??). And also for using the information to try and PREVENT for 3 months (due to methotrexate shot). Might sound crazy but already I can't wait to stop monitoring myself again, and just BE.

Have fun beaching. :-)
Here from NCLM.

I hope you have a great vacation! Computer free! Enjoy the beach and don't even think about anything that's not VACATION!

I hope you enjoy the beach trip. I'm so jealous. Until 3 years ago I lived in Southern California and got so that I took the beach for granted. Now that I live in Arizona I really miss it!

Have fun at the beach. (And isn't it crazy how 'practising becomes work after a while?).

NCLM can wait, so don't worry about it -- just enjoy!

hi from NaComLeavMo!

I hope you're having a blast at the beach. It's so hot here that all I want to do is lay on my couch in the air conditioning. If I was anywhere near a beach, I'd be in that water before you could blink!

that nightmare

Time is passing and permanent/next step decisions AREN'T being made about where our marriage is going.

Not because of anything other than HOPE....

Hope that these changes are real.  I can't deal with an act anymore.  I'm done with those fake attempts.  It just won't work for me.  I can't.

Hope that he really wants to change.  Because he's the only one that can make that decision for himself and not anyone else.

Hope that a new normal is really a possible option.  And not just a glimmer of something that will eventually be shattered and destroyed.

Hope that we could work through all of this and actually land on our feet.  But he has to want to do those things and my guidance won't help him.  He's got to want to do them on his own.  I can't help or ask or guide.  He has to do it.  Alone and with the help of God.

Hope that the narcissistic behaviors are being dealt with in positive ways and won't resurface.  With the help of prayer, guidance from h…

my little model...

There is a blog that I follow of a photographer that I saw at the Delaware County Fair. Her studio is near my home town and her pictures are very vibrant. I enjoy looking at different aspects of photography and I like seeing how didn’t people capture pictures and scenes… I guess you could say I’m envious.

While following her blog, I saw a post that stated Calling All Furry Friends and immediately responded. I have always wanted to have Toby get professional pictures done but I just fear that I wouldn’t pick the right person to capture his personality.

Anyway, as you can read in the link above, there were a handful of photographers at Megan Morgan’s studio and they were all going to be there just to take furry friends pictures.

Of the people that were there two have uploaded their pictures and Toby is in them!

First, Megan Morgan’s blog: Weekend Workshop

Then, Holly McCaig’s blog: Dogs Everywhere

They all captured some great pictures and I can’t wait to get my hands on them so that I …

Starting here..

I know that I haven't really updated this in a long while. I apologize. In the moments it was hard enough to survive, let alone write about it or find time to write about it.

With that said, I've told people over and over again that I'm going to write again, just not sure where to start.
So, today, I'm starting here.
My mom is terminal.
Words that I cannot believe have to leave my mouth or my fingers.
She's been battling Ovarian Cancer for well over 10 years and this last year or 8 months+ have been just the worst.  Her body is being consumed by cancer and with every day that passes we are just another closer to losing her.
She's fought this whole time and continues to beat the odds that the doctors have placed before her. She's set goals and surpassed them and when the doctors say something, it's like she mentally tells herself that it's just NOT going to happen and she flies by those measurable items.
She's been a rock star and I have known …
