(fondly called) Dump Cake
Regular sized can of Cherry pie filling (we use light)
Same sized can of Crushed pineapple in juice
Yellow Cake Mix (we use Pillsbury, Reduced Sugar)
2 sticks of butter (we use one, and have in the past used light butter)
Spread the pie filling and pineapple (drained) in the bottom of a 9x13 (is that right... it really doesn't matter, it will just make your dish thicker or thinner depending on the pan used). Dump cake mix on top. Cut up butter stick and scatter over entire cake surface. Sprinkle Cinnamon. Sprinkle Walnuts. Bake at 350 for at least 45 min. It's done when the cake mix is getting crunchy (butter melts over it). Be sure not to burn the cherry mix on the bottom so watch for that also.
Enjoy hot or cold (my favorite is cold - after it bakes)!
